Summer Wedding at Shadow Creek

August 18, 2017 in Summer Weddings

Jessica and Rich planned a beautiful summer wedding at Shadow Creek in Purcellville, Virginia. The color palette was creamy taupes and a soft purply gray. We brought this out in the flowers through amnesia roses, succulents, chocolate Queen Anne's lace, allium, brunia, and cafe au lait dahlias.

The weather at ceremony time was drizzling so we went with plan B and moved the ceremony to the cover of the grand front porch. Handtied posies lined the aisle and overhead arch flowers added a lovely focal point to the ceremony.

The weather cleared in time for portraits and cocktail hour, followed by the reception in the barn. The arch flowers were repurposed inside as a back drop to the king's table. Centerpieces in weathered wood boxes carried the color palette through to each table and perfectly complemented the rustic but elegant atmosphere at Shadow Creek. Special thanks to Genevieve Leiper for these gorgeous photos!
