Winter Wedding Inspiration at 48 Fields

March 14, 2018 in Wedding Inspiration, Winter Weddings

The setting was 48 Fields in Leesburg, Virginia. We had a couple in love and a sunny, but cold winter day. The barns of the venue and the rolling Virginia country side have a rustic vibe but we wanted to show how rustic and elegant can coexist.

The first level of the barn is white and bright - a perfect backdrop for a cozy lounge area in our color palette of cream, gold, dusty rose, and a muted purple.

Details of the day were exquisite - early spring flowers, champagne, blackberries, handmade paper, and an stunning pear shaped engagement ring.

The lush bridal bouquet featured cafe latte garden roses, anemone, lilac, clematis, and blackberry scoop scabiosa. Silk ribbon streamed from the bouquet in shades of ivory and purple.

Our dining table was set in the upper level of the barn where a soaring ceiling and rich wood set the tone. The tables laid out in a "seating in the round" formation created an intimate feeling for the guests. Small floral arrangements at each place setting tied in the color palette. We also created a hanging floral chandelier of southern smilax, magnolia, and cherry blossoms. Vintage crystal chandeliers added sparkle and charm.

An incredible cake with sugar ranunculus flowers was showcased on a floating platform.

We trimmed our wooden ceremony arch with souther smilax foliage, magnolia leaves, and pink cherry blossom. Kira and Philip were the sweetest couple and obviously head over heels for each other.
